About Us
We're not here to turn you into a concert pianist overnight. (Though who knows — maybe you'll be.) Wilson Education started because we noticed something: most music lesson places feel sterile and stiff. Cold studios. Bored teachers checking their watches. We wanted different. So we built this place for people who actually love music. Your kid might be shy about singing. You might've always wanted to pick up guitar but figured you'd missed your shot. Maybe you just need a space where mistakes are totally fine — where fumbling through "Twinkle, Twinkle" at age 47 is celebrated, not judged. That's Wilson Education. We're small. We're local. We genuinely care about every person who walks through our door.
Over time, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, quality, and clear communication. We treat each project as a partnership and aim for outcomes that last.
Our Mission
Create a space where music education feels less like homework and more like hanging with a friend who happens to know their way around an instrument. We're here to build confidence, encourage curiosity, and remind you that learning music should feel good — not stressful.
Our Vision
Imagine a Ploiești where music isn't something only "talented kids" do. Where adults pursue their passions without embarrassment. Where every student walks out feeling a little braver than when they walked in. That's the world we're building.
Our Story
Wilson Education grew from a simple frustration. Back in 2011, our founder noticed her own kids dreading their music lessons. Stiff teachers. Boring material. The joy was gone. She thought: there's got to be a better way. So she started teaching neighbors in her living room. Kids actually wanted to come. Parents started asking if she'd teach them too. Within a few years, we'd moved to a proper studio and hired teachers who got it — who understood that patience and encouragement matter more than perfection. Today, we've worked with 47 different students and families. We're still small. Still local. Still obsessed with making music feel like something you genuinely want to do.

Meet Our Team
The people behind Wilson Education
Mirela Wilson
Founder & Piano Instructor
Started this whole thing because her kids deserved better. She's been teaching piano for 13 years and somehow remembers every student's name, favorite song, and personal quirk. Kind of magical.
Dan Popescu
Guitar & Ukulele Teacher
Dan's the guy who makes three-chord songs sound like art. He specializes in coaxing nervous adults into actually enjoying themselves. Also makes terrible jokes during lessons, which somehow helps people relax.
Sophia Marin
Voice Coach
Sophia has this way of listening that makes you feel heard. She works with kids who think they can't sing and adults rediscovering their voices. Her patience is honestly inspiring.
We’re a team that values ownership, clarity, and growth. We celebrate wins, learn fast, and keep client outcomes at the center.
Our Core Values
The principles that guide everything we do
Kindness Over Correctness
Sure, hitting the right notes matters. But so does making sure you feel safe trying. We'd rather catch you doing something right and building confidence than fixating on every tiny mistake.
Real Connection
Your teacher isn't a robot spouting theory. They're someone who actually listens to you, remembers what frustrated you last week, and celebrates the weird stuff you're excited about.
Everyone Belongs Here
Beginner? Advanced? Completely lost? Perfect. We've taught everyone from anxious six-year-olds to curious retirees. No judgment. Ever.
Progress Over Perfection
You don't need to sound like a recording artist to be making real progress. Can you play a chord you couldn't play last month? That's everything. That's the win.
